Going once… Hockneys and Emins starting at 99p
You might think “you’re having a giraffe” when you read this title, but it’s true – St Wilfred’s Hospice in Eastbourne has launched an auction on ebay this week offering up the 600 postcard-sized pieces of art to raise money for a new building. The works, by artists such as Tracey Emin, David Hockney, Pure Evil and even two by Ronnie Corbett and another by er, David Cameron (somewhat of a random one there) will be up for grabs online at www.stwhospice.org/ebay and also on display at Towner Gallery in Eastbourne, East Sussex until Saturday 20th October 2012.
Other submissions will also feature in the auction from local artists, hospice patients and volunteers.
