‘International Women’ – various artists

'Sweet Mary of Silence'

29th March – 7th July 2012.

Frankie Shea and Tina Ziegler, the team behind Gossip Well Told and Moniker Art Fair are putting their curatorial heads together to present ‘International Women.’

The show will feature a strong roster of 15 female artists from 10 countries, and will highlight the cross-over of the Pop Surrealism and Urban fine art movements. Artists exhibiting include the incredible Swoon, Hera (from Herakut), Miss Van and BC favourite, Pam Glew.

Showing at the Warrington Museum and Art Gallery in London which has had an award-winning exhibition programme in past years and seen the likes of Banksy, Tracey Emin and Sam Taylor-Wood’s works attached to it’s walls, ‘International Women’ pays some rarely explored but very necessary close attention to the female artists at the forefront of the Urban Art and Pop Surrealism genres.

Other exhibiting artists include:  Catalina Estrada, Elizabeth Mcgrath, Faith 47, Holly Thoburn, Kukula, Mel Kadel, Sarah Joncas, Stella Im Hultberg, Tara Mcpherson and Xue Wang.
