‘The Four Pillars of Rock’ – various artists

We know this one’s a while away, but we couldn’t help but tell you about it..
This show, curated by Rebecca Valentine of Vaarta, will feature artwork for album covers, tour posters and other paraphernalia by artists John Pasche, Brian Aris, David Montgomery, Karl Ferris, Colin Jones and Chris Dreja.
The show will focus on ‘the four pillars of rock,’ – Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin and also on show will be illustrations from GeorgeHardie and Storm Thorgerson.
Beautiful Crime recently interviewed John Pasche, the designer behind many a well-known album cover, perhaps the most famous being that of the Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers album, featuring those globally recognised red lips and tongue. And everyone knows someone who’s got the t-shirt.
It goes without saying that this one is not to be missed. This show will contain limited edition prints of images fondly recognised by a sea of music fans, which having entertained staying power, have carried through from one generation to the next.
This will also include some rarely seen images as well as some never seen before, particularly by Brian Aris. All prints will be for sale in limited edition of 10-25.
